This Advanced Systems & Designs - ASDQMS SmartCable USB Keyboard single gage interface connects the a standard Mitutoyo gage to a computer. Connects directly to the gage, no additional cables required. The output of the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface is a standard USB 2.0 keyboard signal.

This is the ideal cable to use with Mitutoyo Digital Drop Indicators because it has a built-in data send button. This cable is what many have been requesting to use with digital indicators when they do not want to disturb the reading by pushing a send button at the gauge. This SmartCable Keyboard USB interface cable gets the data send process away from the indicator so your readings are accurate every time. There is no need to add the expense of a separate footswitch---but if you want use one, there is a footswitch port on the SmartCable box.

Connecting this SmartCable Keyboard with its built-in keyboard interface to a computer will allow the SmartCable USB to be identified as a keyboard device that can send data to any Microsoft Windows application or SPC internet explorer software - no complicated software wedges required. And it never changes when your software updates.

The ASDQMS SmartCable USB Keyboard gage interface will make the gage readings appear as if they were typed in using a standard keyboard - eliminates data collection errors. If you want to collect data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, simply select the cell where you want the data to appear.

Readings can be triggered by any of the following:

• Pressing the push button on the SmartCable Keyboard gage interface

• Depressing a connected footswitch (not included)

• Pressing the send button on the gage (if it has one)

This SmartCable Keyboard gage interface is easily configured to output data in different modes, such as CR, TAB, up, down, left, right continuous reading, continuous reading with automatic 10, 15, or 30 second delay between readings. We can also design a unique firmware for your special requirement. The output mode is selected by adjusting the rotary switch on the SmartCable Keyboard. To access the rotary switch, simply remove the top cover by loosening two Phillips screws.
